Returns & Refund Policy – Equipment Leader

1. Overview

Equipment Leader provides return and refund options based on product category, condition, and timing. All returns require proof of purchase unless otherwise required by law.

Equipment Leader reserves the right to deny any return or refund where a product shows signs of use, damage, alteration, missing components, or where return activity indicates fraud or abuse.


2. 90-Day Return Policy (Standard Merchandise)

Most standard merchandise may be eligible for return within 90 days of delivery or pickup, provided that:

  • The item is unused, uninstalled, and in resalable condition

  • All original packaging, manuals, accessories, and components are included

  • Proof of purchase is provided

Returns may be denied if damage is caused by the customer rather than a manufacturing defect.


3. 30-Day Return Policy (Select Equipment Categories)

The following product categories must be returned within 30 days of delivery or pickup:

  • Furniture

  • Tractors and agricultural equipment

  • Framing and roofing compressors

  • Consumer electronics (including computers and televisions)

  • Paint sprayers

  • Gas-powered outdoor equipment, including:

    • Trimmers

    • Blowers

    • Chainsaws

    • Lawn mowers

    • Outdoor augers

    • Tillers

    • Chippers

    • Log splitters

All items in this category must be unused and in original factory-sealed packaging.


4. 7-Day Return Policy (Limited Equipment)

The following items must be returned within 7 days of delivery or pickup:

  • Dehumidifiers

  • Gas-powered pressure washers

  • Window or portable air conditioners

  • Gas generators (excluding whole-house or stationary generators)

All items must be unused and in original factory-sealed packaging.


5. 48-Hour Inspection Requirement (Major Appliances & Large Items)

For major appliances and large items, including but not limited to:

  • Refrigerators

  • Washers and dryers

  • Ranges and cooktops

  • Dishwashers

  • Built-in or over-the-range microwaves

Customers must report any damage or defects within 48 hours of delivery (excluding weekends).

All returns in these categories — including unopened and unused items — must be initiated within this 48-hour window. Failure to inspect and report within this timeframe may void eligibility for return or refund.


6. Heavy Equipment, Industrial Machinery & Attachments (FINAL SALE)

6.1 Final Sale Policy

Due to the nature of heavy equipment and professional-use machinery, all heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and large attachments are final sale upon delivery or pickup, except where required by applicable law.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Construction equipment

  • Agricultural equipment

  • Tractors, loaders, and backhoes

  • Excavators, skid steers, compact track loaders

  • Forklifts and telehandlers

  • Boom Lifts and Scissor Lifts
  • Stationary or towable industrial machinery

  • etc
  • Attachments, including:

    • Buckets

    • Grapples

    • Augers

    • Breakers / hammers

    • Mowers

    • Forks

    • Snow or material handling attachments

    • Hydraulic or mechanical implements


6.2 Delivery Inspection & Damage Reporting

Customers must inspect all heavy equipment and attachments immediately upon delivery or pickup.

  • Visible damage must be documented and noted at the time of delivery

  • Concealed damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery

  • Failure to inspect or report within this timeframe may void all claims


6.3 Acceptance & Use

Once heavy equipment or attachments have been:

  • Operated

  • Installed or mounted

  • Fueled or connected

  • Transported from the delivery location

  • Used for any purpose

…the equipment is deemed accepted and non-returnable.


6.4 Freight, Delivery & Logistics

  • Freight, delivery, rigging, loading, and transportation charges are non-refundable

  • Return freight (if approved in rare circumstances) is the customer’s responsibility

  • Equipment Leader is not responsible for delays or damage caused by third-party carriers once delivery is accepted


6.5 Manufacturer Warranties

Heavy equipment and attachments may be covered by manufacturer warranties.

  • Warranty claims must be pursued directly with the manufacturer unless otherwise stated in writing

  • Equipment Leader does not guarantee warranty approval

  • Warranty coverage does not constitute return eligibility


6.6 Professional Use Disclaimer

Heavy equipment and attachments are intended for commercial, industrial, or professional use.

Buyers acknowledge and agree that:

  • Equipment Leader does not provide operator training

  • Safe operation is solely the buyer’s responsibility

  • Buyer assumes all risks associated with operation and use


7. Extended Return Periods (Approved Commercial Accounts)

Purchases made using approved commercial or equipment credit accounts may qualify for extended return periods of up to 365 days, except for items subject to shorter return windows or final-sale classifications, including heavy equipment and attachments.

Eligibility is determined at Equipment Leader’s discretion.


8. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items

The following items are final sale and not eligible for return or refund, except where required by law:

  • Gift cards, store credits, or digital credits

  • Whole-house or stationary generators

  • Heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and attachments

  • Utility trailers

  • Cut plants, flowers, or live materials

  • Labor, delivery, freight, or installation services

  • Product samples (paint, flooring, fabric, material swatches)

  • Tinted or custom-mixed paint

  • Custom-built, made-to-order, or special-order products


9. Condition Requirements

Returned items must:

  • Be unused and uninstalled

  • Be in original packaging

  • Include all original components and documentation

Items showing signs of use, fuel, wear, installation, or modification are not eligible for return.


10. Refund Method

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

  • Shipping, freight, and delivery fees are non-refundable

  • Restocking fees may apply

  • Refund processing times vary by payment provider


11. Manufacturer Warranties

Many products are covered by manufacturer warranties.

  • Warranty claims must be handled directly with the manufacturer unless otherwise stated

  • Warranty coverage does not override this return policy


12. Rentals & Repairs

  • Rental equipment is governed exclusively by the rental agreement

  • Repair services are governed by the specific repair contract

  • Payments related to rentals or repairs are generally non-refundable


13. Abuse, Fraud & Chargebacks

Equipment Leader reserves the right to refuse returns or refunds to prevent fraud, abuse, or excessive return activity.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting Equipment Leader may result in denial of future service and recovery actions.


14. Legal Rights

This policy does not limit consumer rights provided under applicable local, state, federal, or international laws.
